2017 : A Big Year!

Last year was pretty huge for our family! We freshly moved to Brooklyn at the end of 2016 to a wonderful neighborhood called Fort Greene. My business now leans more heavily towards the portrait side of photography, and it has been the best thing ever! I've gotten more into cinematography as well, which is super exciting. The travel agenda had us everywhere! Mexico, Nevada (x3), Australia (x2), Cuba, California, Boston (x2), Maryland, South Carolina and Louisiana! All along the way, we've been able to soak up Layla's incredible development and feed her insatiable appetite to learn. It is truly awesome being her Dad! Here's a brief selection of a few favorite photos from last year.

Salmon Special

The other day we were celebrating a friends birthday and I snapped a pretty funny sequence of a few friends doing the salmon into the pool (thanks to my brand spankin' new camera the Nikon D4). I posted one frame and it got some serious attention on the infamous facebook so I figured I would post the whole sequence here. 'Av a look!

2011 Favourites

I have to say that I never expected to be so busy with my business as I was in 2011. I'm extremely lucky I've found this profession and people dig what I do, and better yet want to pay me for it! Not many can say that. Best yet I've not only been able to continue to travel the world, but I asked Mads to get hitched in the beginning of the year. What a good time last year was, and what greatness to come in 2012.
We just got back from our holidays up the Banana Coast in Australia, such a good time spent with family and friends. I had some downtime and was able to put together a recap of some of my favourite shots from 2011 that I've taken in my spare time traveling around uncommissioned. Have a look if you get a minute, and let me know what you think!

PS - I will be making up for the slack posting on the blog I promise!!!

Chuna

Yep, that's how it's pronounced in Australia (well.. nearly).  I had the privelidge of being invited on a tuna trip out to the Chicken Canyon off of NJ a couple weeks ago on a beautiful boat.  Last time I caught a tuna was maybe 10 years ago, so you can imagine how stoked I was when I heard the drag zip out and we hooked up! 3 tuna for the day, not too shabby!  Had a bite out of mine on board, best sashimi in the entire world. For real.
